Terrance Lai, currently Senior Telecommunications Manager, oversees all telecommunications infrastructures and services for CLP Power Hong Kong Limited. Mr. Lai has been in telecommunications field for over 20 years with extensive experience from erection of telecommunications infrastructure to operation of all telecommunications networks in CLP

Power Hong Kong Limited. It includes fibre optic, microwave, data communications, telephony and radio networks. Back in 2000, Mr. Lai was responsible to build the first TETRA platform for CLP Power Hong Kong Limited, which was the first commercial 800MHz TETRA network in Hong Kong.Prior to this post, Mr. Lai was the Digital Systems Manager who is responsible for all substation automation platforms at substations and power plants in CLP Power Hong Kong Limited. This covers over 100+ transmission substations and thousands of distribution substations, whereas it also covers hundreds of 11kV Pole Mount Switches that utilize various radio technologies for SCADA application.CLP Power Hong Kong Limited ("CLP Power") is the Hong Kong utility subsidiary wholly owned by CLP Holdings Limited, a company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and one of the largest investor-owned power businesses in Asia.
