Billy Hon
Prior to joining the government, Mr. Hon led project teams specializing in embedded system development, including a notable product - a classic brand of Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) that dominated the Chinese PDA market in the early 2000s.
Mr. Hon joined the government in 2007 and he has since had the opportunity to serve in project management and consultancy services roles in projects that have shaped the infrastructure and services of Hong Kong, notably on projects such as the Tamar Development Project, the Fourth Generation Mobilising System for Fire and Ambulance Services, new parking meters, traffic control and surveillance system for highways and smart features for government car parks. Currently, Mr. Hon is the section head of the maintenance team responsible for electrical, mechanical, air-conditioning, building services, and electronic systems at various venues/buildings and regional headquarters for Disciplined Services located at Kowloon and part of New Territories areas.
